# Acceptable Use Policy

Version: 2026-10-07. For new customers, this policy applies on express acceptance before access is provisioned. For existing customers, it takes effect after the 30-day emailed notice described in the [Terms of Service](/legal/terms). Publishing this page does not start that notice period.

Docsary hosts public documentation. These rules apply to all plans and to everything you publish or do through the service, including pages, files, links, redirects, site names, domains, API calls, and connected agents. They are part of our [Terms of Service](/legal/terms) with Robota LLC.

You are responsible for your content and for activity by people or agents you authorize. Do not use Docsary to host, distribute, promote, or facilitate any of the following.

## Illegal content or activity

Do not publish illegal content or use Docsary to commit or help others commit an unlawful act. Fraud, scams, and deceptive schemes are prohibited. Follow the laws that apply where you are and where the service operates.

## Child sexual abuse and exploitation

**We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).** Do not upload, link to, request, distribute, or promote it. Child sexual exploitation, grooming, enticement, and child sex trafficking are also prohibited.

We remove or disable access to this material and report apparent CSAM and other reportable child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as required by law. We preserve related material and records as legally required and may immediately close the responsible account.

## Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content

**Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content is prohibited on Docsary, even where it may be legal.** This applies to text, images, video, audio, downloads, and links intended to distribute that content. Non-consensual intimate imagery, including fabricated or AI-generated imagery, is also prohibited.

## Harassment, threats, and hate

Do not harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or encourage violence against anyone. Do not publish hateful content that attacks or dehumanizes people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. Do not organize abuse of a person or group.

## Malware, phishing, and deceptive downloads

Do not distribute malware or malicious code, run phishing schemes, harvest passwords, API keys, or other credentials, or trick visitors into installing software or disclosing information. Downloads and links must honestly describe what they provide. Do not disguise a harmful file as a document, update, or security tool.

## Impersonation and false affiliation

Do not impersonate a person or organization or falsely suggest that your site is official, endorsed, or operated by someone else. This includes fake login pages, copied support portals, misleading domains, and branding used to deceive visitors.

## Copyright and trademark infringement

Publish only material you own or are legally permitted to use and make public. Do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights. Public availability elsewhere does not by itself give you permission to republish something. Send copyright and trademark complaints through the abuse contact below.

## Spam and search manipulation

Do not use Docsary for spam, unsolicited bulk promotion, SEO content farms, doorway pages, or link schemes. This includes mass-producing low-value or copied pages mainly to manipulate search rankings, funnel visitors to unrelated sites, or sell ranking links. Using an agent to generate the pages does not make this acceptable.

## Other people's private information

Do not publish another person's private personal data without a lawful basis and any required consent. This includes private contact details, government identifiers, financial or medical records, credentials, and information used to expose or target someone. Every Docsary site is public, so do not upload information that needs confidential handling.

## Attacks and misuse of resources

Do not use Docsary to attack, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or anyone else's. Do not bypass authentication, safety checks, plan limits, rate limits, payment restrictions, or other access controls. Do not resell access without our agreement. Do not use multiple organizations, keys, or accounts to evade restrictions or an enforcement decision.

Automated mass account or organization creation is prohibited, including automated requests intended to obtain accounts in bulk. Normal API publishing, ordinary code examples, and authorized agent use within your limits are welcome. These restrictions also cover attempts and assistance to others.

## What we may do

We may investigate suspected violations, ask you to correct a problem, remove or disable access to content, restrict API access, or suspend or close an account. We may act immediately without advance notice when needed to address serious abuse, protect people or systems, or meet legal requirements.

We will terminate accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances. We may also act on a single serious violation. We preserve evidence and report or disclose relevant information where the law requires it, including the NCMEC reporting described above.

Where practical and lawful, we will tell you why we acted. If you believe we made a mistake, email [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us) with the affected site and an explanation. We do not promise to review every page before it is published.

Email [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us) with the exact URL, a description of the problem, and any information that helps us locate and understand it. Include a way to reach you if you want a reply. You do not need a Docsary account to report abuse.

For suspected CSAM, send the URL and a brief description; do not download, attach, or forward the material. You can also report directly to [NCMEC's CyberTipline](https://report.cybertip.org/).

Docsary's [Reports API](/api/reports) accepts authenticated bug reports and feature requests only. Use [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us) for abuse reports and other legal notices; send copyright notices and counter-notices to [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us).

## Copyright and other rights complaints

Email [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us) with the exact URL, the work or right involved, why you believe the use is unauthorized, and your contact details. Tell us whether you own the right or are authorized to act for its owner. Consider permission, fair use, and other legal exceptions before reporting.

We review complaints and take action where appropriate or required by law. We may share relevant complaint information with the affected publisher so they can respond. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact us with the affected URL and an explanation. We handle any legally required notice and counter-notice process under applicable law.

## Policy changes and contact

We update this policy under the notice process in our [Terms of Service](/legal/terms#changes-to-these-terms). Questions, abuse reports, and requests to review an enforcement decision go to [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us). Copyright notices and counter-notices go to [hello@robota.us](mailto:hello@robota.us).
